In the past few weeks, several vehicles have been reported stolen from the parking lot at the Peoria International Airport.
Gene Olson, Director of Airports, said It’s been rental cars for the most part, but have included a few personal vehicles.
Olsen told our news partner 25-News, security presence has been stepped up with camera’s and regular patrols.
Also, PIA has some extra help from the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office; he said the sheriff’s office has made seven arrests.
Olsen says, the best way to keep your car safe at PIA, is just to be smart.
