SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The state’s rate of positive COVID-19 test results has risen yet again, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
IDPH said Tuesday’s rate sat at 4.3%.
1,740 Illinoisans were told they tested positive during the 24-hour reporting period of Monday to Tuesday.
34,175 people were tested for the virus during that time. 27 people died.
Statewide COVID hospitalizations sat at 1,510. 335 of those patients were in intensive care, and 128 were on ventilators.
