PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has been found not guilty of murder in a shooting more than three years ago.
A judge filed the verdict Thursday after a bench trial last month in the case of Keon Patterson, 19.
Patterson was one of three people accused in the death in September of 2020 of Terrence Dunigan, Jr., 19, killed following a dice game at a West Woodhill Lane.
One – Mikeal Reed, 19, – was convicted last year and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Another – Tayla Zolicoffer, Jr., 21 – is scheduled to enter a plea in the case next month, according to court records.
