SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Two years after they were kicked off, Blue Cross Blue Shield is back on at Springfield Clinic.
The clinic made a brief announcement Friday that they and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois have signed a two year agreement that takes effect January 1, allowing the clinic to become in-network again..
The clinic says if you want to establish in-network care, you can call and start making appointments again beginning the day after Christmas – Tuesday, December 26.
No other information was given.
Published reports indicate that Blue Cross Blue Shield was fined several times by the State of Illinois during their dispute with Springfield Clinic.
