WEST PEORIA, Ill. – Fraudulent credit card readers have been found at a West Peoria business.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies were called Thursday to Haddad’s Grocery Store after two fake readers were found in the checkout aisles.
It’s not known at this time how long the readers were on the machines, or how many accounts have been compromised.
The sheriff’s office is asking businesses to check their credit card readers, and for Haddad’s customers to check their banking accounts.
