PEORIA, Ill.– Peoria Police have arrested a man they say was responsible for a shooting at Big Al’s last month.
PPD says the suspect, 42-year-old Jerry Watson, is facing charges including aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and reckless conduct.
Officers took Watson into custody Monday on Cypress Drive. Following his arrest, Watson was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
Police were called to Big Al’s, on SW Jefferson, just before 3:30 a.m. on July 21, for a fight. When they arrived, officers heard gunshots inside the building.
The incident remains under investigation.
