PEORIA, Ill. – OSF Healthcare has broken ground on a new behavioral health hospital.
The provider and US HealthVest put shovels in the ground Thursday for Meadowview Behavioral Hospital on Wood Sage Road
OSF says the hospital will provide inpatient and outpatient services for adults, adolescents, and seniors. It will provide treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders.
“This is a vital addition to our region that reflects our shared commitment to meeting people where they are with compassionate, high-quality care,” said OSF President Michelle Conger. “Mental and behavioral health are critical components of a person’s well-being, and this new hospital will help us address one of the most urgent health needs in our community.”
Construction on the facility is expected to be completed in the first half of next year.
