PEORIA, Ill. – A second woman has been charged with a fire a month ago at Peoria’s Lexington Hill Apartments.
A grand jury Tuesday charged Aleishiona Morris, 28, with Aggravated Arson.
She’s accused of setting the fire last October Fifth on Oakcrest Drive. Nineteen residents in a dozen units were temporarily displaced.
Morris is jailed and will be arraigned Wednesday morning.
The first person arrested in the case – Becky Rutherford, 56 – was released from custody not long after arrest, with a Notice to Appear in court. Her name doesn’t appear in online court records.
