PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Fire says arson is being cited as the cause of a fire at a vacant home Thursday morning in South Peoria.
Crews arrived at a house in the area of Laramie and Latrobe just after 8:30 A.M. to find smoke and fire coming from a front window.
The fire was quickly put out and the home ventilated.
There were no injuries reported, and Ameren was called to the scene to isolate electric and gas lines. Peoria Police also proved traffic control.
Damage is estimated at $5,000.
