SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Someone could have millions of reasons to start the new year on a good note.
Monday is the next drawing in the multi-state Powerball lottery game. The estimated jackpot is $810 million, with a lump sum cash value of $408.9 million.
No one won the estimated $760 million jackpot Saturday evening. The jackpot has been growing since a person in California won $1.765 billion.
FOX News reports the jackpot is the 5th largest in Powerball’s history, with it being the 10th highest overall.
The other multi-state lottery game, Mega Millions, is also starting to climb after no one won the jackpot on Friday. The next drawing for the $114 million prize is Tuesday night.
