PEORIA, Ill. – There’s multiple ways a person in Peoria can report a pothole to the city.
Communications Director Stacy Peterson tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan” people can report a pothole by calling Peoria CARES at 494-2273, or going to the city’s website and using the map to report.
She says those submitting reports through the website or over the phone can be anonymous.
Peterson says Peoria CARES also has an app, a method she recently used herself.
“I saw the pothole, I took a picture of it, I clicked on the pothole category. The GPS already located the address, so I didn’t need to do anything there. It gives you the opportunity to put in additional information, and you hit send, and it’s off,” Peterson said.
Peterson says those who submit a report through the app can receive a notification when the pothole is filled.
The Peoria CARES app can also be used to submit other reports to the city, including lights that may be out, traffic lights that are blinking red, or tall grass.
