PEORIA, Ill. – OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois has found a new leader.
Meg Zakrzewski will take over as the hospital’s new president on September 29th.
She is taking over the role from Mike Wells, who was named President of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in February of 2023.
In a statement, OSF says Zakrzewski will be responsible for the direct oversight of clinical service operations, and the hospital’s finances.
She comes to Peoria after serving as vice president of pediatrics of Ascension Saint Vincent in Indianapolis.
Zakrzewski has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of Science from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis, both in nursing. She also holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
