WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – A Bloomington man has died after a crash involving a motorcycle Tuesday morning in Woodford County.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the 42-year-old was pronounced dead in the OSF emergency room just before 9:15 A.M.
Woodford County Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword says the crash occurred at State Route 117 and County Road 500 North just before 8:15 A.M.
He says the victim was thrown from his motorcycle after rear ending a pickup truck pulling a trailer that had stopped to make a turn.
Harwood says further details on the victim are expected Wednesday.

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash south of Eureka Tuesday morning.
Woodford County Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword says the crash occurred at State Route 117 and County Road 500 North just before 8:15 A.M.
Tipsword says the motorcycle and a pickup truck pulling a trailer were northbound on Route 117, when the truck reportedly stopped in the lane of traffic in an attempt to turn.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle after reportedly rear ending the truck.
The motorcyclist was taken to a Peoria hospital in critical condition.
State Route 117 in the area of the crash is expected to be closed until around noon.
