PEORIA, Ill. – OSF HealthCare is partnering with Peoria Police for Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday.
Sandy Salverson tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan” that prescriptions can be dropped off at OSF Center for Health on Rt. 91, from 10-2.
“Pills, tablets, capsules, that have been in prescription bottles or not. Maybe you stored them in a baggie or you stored them in a pill container. Ointments, creams, all accepted with no questions asked. Inhalants are another thing to bring,” Salverson says.
Liquids, needles, syringes, and illicit drugs will not be accepted.
Prescriptions can also be dropped off at Peoria Police Headquarters downtown, located at 600 SW Adams Street, or find other Central Illinois collection sites through the DEA Take Back Day Locator, or at medtakeback illinois dot org.
