PEORIA, Ill. – A new summer series is launching Thursday evening in downtown Peoria.
Abby Kaufman says “Market After Hours” is a collaboration between Choose Greater Peoria, the Peoria Riverfront Association, Peoria County and the City of Peoria.
“That’s what I think makes this event extra special…it’s multiple organizations coming together for a clear vision…which is to bring vibrancy downtown,” Kaufman says.
The Peoria Riverfront Association’s Sharon Gramm says the weekly event will give people a reason to stay downtown and come together after work each Thursday.
“We are really just a kind of background partner, trying to help and support this event through Choose Greater Peoria. So, while this won’t be like a replication of the Riverfront Market, it will definitely have its own after hours, happy hour type vibe,” Gramm says.
“Market After Hours” will feature food and drinks, live music, and many local vendors from 4-7 p.m. each Thursday at Bicentennial Park in downtown Peoria through July 30th.
