PEORIA, Ill. – A teenager wanted on a Peoria County warrant was arrested Wednesday night.
Peoria Police says 18-year-old Demarques Crowder was spotted in the area of Romeo B Garrett and Richard Pryor Place at around 7:00 P.M.
During Crowder’s arrest, police say they reportedly recovered a handgun that was equipped with an illegal full-auto switch, making it a machine gun, as well as the weapon containing a high-capacity drum magazine.
Crowder was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Machine Gun), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a Valid FOID Card.
In addition, Crowder was charged in a different case on charges of Aggravated Battery Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
Crowder was arrested on a Peoria County warrant for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
Crowder was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
