PEORIA, Ill. – Police departments across central Illinois are encouraging people to come meet their neighbors.
It’s part of National Night Out on Tuesday, which aims to build better relationships between neighbors and police officers.
Peoria Police are hosting 27 events with neighborhood associations across the city, each one running for about two hours each, and starting at various times, running from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting their event at West Peoria City Hall.
Washington Police is hosting their event at Oakridge Park from 5:30-8:00 P.M.
