PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) -For the past five decades, the Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation has worked to preserve historic homes, buildings and sites throughout the region.
The Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation has marked 163 historic homes, buildings and sites in Central Illinois. Now, those landmarks are all featured in one exhibit.
The free display features photographs of all 163 properties, including historic homes and sites across Peoria.
“Our rules are that it has to be more than 50 years old, have historical significance and architectural value, and be renowned for something in the area,” said Blair Gambill, Board Member, Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation .
The display will be available through this Friday Sept. 24 at the Peoria Public Library on Northeast Monroe St.
If you can’t make it to the library, you’ll have another chance to see the exhibit at the River Station building on October 29.
