Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lincoln IL 524 AM CDT Thu Jun 11 2026 ILZ027>031-036>038-040-041-121030- Knox-Stark-Peoria-Marshall-Woodford-Fulton-Tazewell-McLean-Schuyler- Mason- 524 AM CDT Thu Jun 11 2026 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west central Illinois. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. A couple periods of severe thunderstorms are expected today. The first one will mainly impact areas north of a Macomb to Pontiac line this morning, and will be capable of producing strong winds. The second severe weather period will mainly be in the evening, but the storms may reach the Illinois River valley as early as late afternoon. This second line of storms will be capable of wind gusts over 70 mph, very large hail, and tornadoes. In addition, locally heavy rain may aggravate any lingering flooding from recent storms. Outside of the storms, the heat index is expected to range from 95 to 100 degrees today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Flooding is expected to develop along portions of the Spoon and La Moine Rivers by Friday. Additional thunderstorms are expected Saturday night. A few of these will be capable of producing strong wind gusts. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will likely be needed a couple times today. The first period will be between 10 am and 1 pm, with the second period between 4 pm and 8 pm. Expected storm motion is toward the southeast around 45 mph.
