PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man has confessed to sexually abusing two minors.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 29-year-old Danny Devine pleaded guilty on Monday to two separate counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.
Prosecutors say Devine knew both victims, 15 and 16 years old, were minors.
In one case, Devine befriended the 15-year-old and the relationship turned sexual. But Devine became violent and possessive, and accused the victim of cheating on him.
Devine had also become violent and possessive with the 16-year-old victim, to the point where he tattooed his name on the victim’s thigh.
Devine is scheduled to be sentenced on September 10th, where he faces up to seven years in prison on each count. A judge will determine if the sentences are to be served at the same time, or back-to-back.
