SANTIAGO, Sept 18 (Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 struck on Friday Chile’s Metropolitan Region, home to capital city Santiago, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The quake, which hit at a depth of 98 km (60.89 miles), was downgraded from an initial 5.0 magnitude, according to EMSC.
