BRIMFIELD, Ill. – A manhunt relating to a shooting in Springfield ended in rural Brimfield Sunday night.
Illinois State Police says a vehicle wanted in that shooting had fled after a traffic stop was attempted at around 7:00 P.M.
Stark County and state police were involved in the pursuit that ended with the vehicle stopping in the area of North Kramm and Illinois Route Eight 8.
The suspect was found with an “apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound” and pronounced dead at the scene.
Illinois State Police says no additional information is being released at this time.
